The First One

It’s a lot of work building a website from the ground up, but it is rewarding to at least have something to show off, even if it doesn’t match what I want the finished product to look like. Thanks to every one of my friends who encouraged me to work on this, you guys are the best, and I love you.

I never did have a head for creating the aesthetic, even if I have the eye for it, so getting to a point where the colors, backgrounds, fonts, etc. don’t want to make people throw up may take a little bit of time and elbow grease. It’s also going to take a bit of time to put up all of my written works, I have to find old files, write up summaries for the sidebar, develop some film, etc. Thanks for your patience, and I’ll update you when the backlog is fully up. For now, enjoy some of my most recent “poetry” and two short stories that I wrote a couple years ago in a college class.

One of the things I have been toying with (as evidenced by the third tab in the “Writing” dropdown) is posting a monthly or semi-monthly serial writing project. We’ll see about that. I think that before that, I want to at least finish the first draft of my novel. But, my muse isn’t answering her phone, and the only other way to contact her is by fax machine, so we will see.

Uhhh… what else?

OH! F#@& DRUM BRAKES (All my homies hate drum brakes) ruined my god-damn needle nose pliers.

And it’s OK to buy the $5 bottle of wine at Kroger and push the cork in with a chopstick as long as you don’t drink it all at once.
